Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia


La Santa is an important center, very visited throughout the year and very popular pilgrimages. Various facilities were built around the hermitage, forming a set of great interest for its harmony with the landscape and the correctness of the composition.

Snow wells


Cylindrical constructions and some of them with dome, which were used during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries to store snow and produce ice, used in the hot summer months to preserve food, drinks and therapeutic purposes.

Leiva walls


At more than 1300 meters high and with a verticality of 200 meters in a single stroke, they become a true spectacle for the amateur. Also on the walls of Leyva, García Gallego has opened roads that have made climbing possible for other adventurers.

Sanatorium of Tuberculous


Former Sanatorium of Tuberculosos of Sierra Espuña is the name given to the remains of the building that housed tuberculosis and leprosy patients in the Sierra de Espuña between 1917 and 1962. It is located in the hamlet of El Berro, within the municipality of Alhama de Murcia and Totana.

Dinosaur Path


It is a pleasant walk that connects the recreational area of La Perdiz with the Barranco de Leyva. An ideal route to do with the little ones, because it encourages us to find the hidden footprint of the dinosaur. Its suspension bridge marks the beginning of a perfect route to get to know nature in a pleasant and simple way.

La Bastida deposit


La Bastida (Totana, Murcia) is one of the most important archaeological sites in European prehistory. It was inhabited about 4000 years ago, in the Bronze Age of El Argar, and it holds enormous potential for the knowledge of our past and for the cultural and heritage projection of the Region of Murcia.

Ravine of Gebas


Badlands are called these types of arid landscapes whose materials are subject to heavy erosion. One of the most beautiful examples is found east of Sierra Espuña and close to the town of Librilla: the Barranco de Gebas, which houses the Algeciras reservoir. Its landscape of gullies, canyons and canyons, devoid of vegetation cover, is at the mercy of erosion. Such a unique scenario, which has been declared Protected Landscape of the Region of Murcia. Its turquoise waters, fruit of its whitish rocks, will leave you speechless.

Medieval Villa Aledo


Its historical group is declared of Cultural Interest (BIC). In it we can visit the Tower of Homage, medieval construction of three floors at the end of the s. XIII, which is currently the Interpretation Center of the town and has an extraordinary viewpoint to the Natural Park of Sierra Espuña with a close-up of El Morrón (1583 m.); the summit of Sierra de María (Almería); the sea by Mazarrón and several relevant mountain ranges of the environment.

Path of the Snail


The Caracol path is a historic path from the time of reforestation that joins or almost joins the Collado Mangueta with the Collado Blanco, turning around the Morrón de Alhama, passing through its highest levels and then descending again. It is born in the middle of a mountain at 1090 m altitude. It is far from a natural road but one built with a lot of effort and in very harsh conditions in some cases opening a gap in the live rock and during almost all its route supported on masonry walls.

Cave of the Currency


The Cave of the Currency is a cavity, which has one of the rooms with large lithological formations of the largest in the Region, of great scientific, educational and tourist interest.
To access the cave you need specific material as well as knowledge in the handling of ropes, as there is a flown over three meters high.

Ricardo Coddornu Research Institute


This Center, whose name honors Ricardo Codorniu, is located in the heart of Sierra Espuña, and is intended for the information, attention and environmental education of visitors. The center was conceived for the promotion of environmental education, the sustainable use of Espuña and, in general, the enjoyment of nature in a sustainable and respectful way. One of the most unique elements that it has is the model that shows how the snow wells work.
